We love students being part of the Emmanuel family.

There are over 40,000 students in Oxford – a quarter of the city’s population. Just as students are an important part of our city, they are an important part of the Emmanuel family too. We want to provide the best possible environment for you to make the most of your time here. At Emmanuel we aim to help you grow in your relationship with God through practical teaching from the bible and an openness to the Holy Spirit. We will encourage you to use your gifts and passions to connect your faith with everyday life.

We have a diverse group of students from Oxford and Brookes Universities at both sites of Emmanuel Church who are passionate about exploring faith, building community, and enjoying this lively and ancient city.

Follow us on Instagram or like us on Facebook to keep up-to-date with what’s happening, or get in touch for more information.

Student Night

The centre of student life at Emmanuel Church

Student Night

We gather all our students together on a Thursday evening at 8pm in the The Cape of Good Hope (On The Plain roundabout). This group is the focus of student life at Emmanuel Church – it's a great opportunity to meet together and help one another to be more like Jesus in every area of life.

We also run socials and other one off events for students throughout the year.

Check our Connect Group page for more information and map.

Weekend Away

A chance to have a break from the hustle and bustle of university life

Weekend Away

Each year we have a weekend away for students – a chance to get away from the busyness of university life, get to know other students better and worship God and hear teaching from the Bible.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
