Internships
Emmanuel is passionate about helping people grow in their faith and one way to achieve this is to apply for our year-long internship programme: Intentional Discipleship.
What does an ID year look like?
The ID programme follows the academic year, beginning in September and ending in July and is built around four areas: go, grow, serve and study. It is run by our New Frontiers family of churches, giving interns a chance to receive teaching from those across the UK and beyond.
One of our previous interns, Harry, has written a blog about his experience which you can read here.
Get immersed in the life and mission of a local church here in Oxford and visit a pioneering church plant overseas and get plugged into a global family of churches on a mission.
Our previous interns have spent time serving churches in Albania, Sweden and Serbia.
Go
Be mentored and discipled. Go from knowing about Jesus to knowing him deeply and be transformed into his likeness. Spend time with leaders and maturer believers.
Grow
Take on responsibility and grow in ministry experience. There are opportunities to serve with childrens’ work, youth, students, community projects, evangelism, worship, and more.
Serve
Give time to studying the Bible inside out and asking the big questions. ID students receive quality teaching at four week-long residentials, based in Cambridge, and every week online.
Study
“Devoting a year to studying the Bible, serving church ministries I’m passionate about, and growing in my faith and giftings was such a joy. I absolutely loved my ID year at Emmanuel.”
